Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadians! I have a bit of time while I wait for the turkey to cook and before I have to turn the vegetables on so I can update you on the progress of my current project.
This morning I was busy working on my husband’s fish quilt. I am determined to move this one off my UFO list.
I finished the inside portion of the quilt and I am now ready to add the borders.
The fabrics on the left are the border fabrics. The black fish fabric is the outer border and the narrow beige strip will be the narrow inner border. (You can only see a bit of it peeking through in this picture.)
Tomorrow is the Thanksgiving stat holiday here so I will not be going in to work. I hope to be quilting tomorrow–putting the borders on this quilt!
love that border fabric! congrats on almost getting it done.
Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
This is a great quilt. Your hubby will really like it.
This is looking really good, Norma. Harold will be happy to see the top done but I suspect you will as well. Once it is quilted he might have hopes of seeing for Christmas then!
The fish quilt is awesome. I hope your husband will love it. Your colours are beautiful. I would have never thought to put all that together. My quilts look pretty tame compared to that. Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy holiday and Thanks Giving! Those are mighty big salmon ? trout? FISH on the quilt. He will love it and it will inspire more fishing I’m sure.
Happy Thanksgiving. I hope you didn’t eat too much. We sure did.
Happy Thanksgiving to you too! Love the stars with the fish fabric. Lucky DH!
MAN! Wish I would have known….We love turkey and all the trimmings here in S. Texas….Thanksgiving in any country will do just fine!!!!!!
Recognized that pattern right off…love that setting. It’s great with the fish blocks and the colors you have chosen. Keep up the good work getting it done! Enjoyed your pictures of Kelowna too…reminded me of a trip I took up there several years back, but visited the same wineries!
