This morning, we woke up to a layer of freezing rain covering everything.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/div>\n

Although the ice coating on everything is pretty, it is definitely not safe to be driving or walking in this weather.<\/p>\n

It was safe to stay inside and quilt though.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

By 11:00 pm, I had finished making all the blocks for the Got Stripes quilt – with the exception of one.\u00a0 I was short a green background strip.\u00a0 I need to cut some\u00a0green background\u00a0 pieces to finish the last block and to replace some pieces in a block that is already pieced into the quilt top.\u00a0 I made the mistake of reversing\u00a0one piece of background fabric–front for back so I will need to do some reverse sewing.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n

I also finished the binding on my Fire Escape quilt.\u00a0 After finishing the binding, I spread the quilt out over the table to take a picture.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

A picture without the flash shows the colours of the quilt to be a little closer to reality\u00a0and shows the swirl quilting design a little better.<\/p>\n
