{"id":277,"date":"2008-04-12T22:05:00","date_gmt":"2008-04-12T22:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/silverthimble.ca\/blog\/?p=277"},"modified":"2008-04-12T22:05:00","modified_gmt":"2008-04-12T22:05:00","slug":"looking-for-spring","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/silverthimble.ca\/blog\/2008\/04\/looking-for-spring\/","title":{"rendered":"Looking For Spring"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After stitching with the <span>FABs<\/span> this morning, I headed out to the tulip fields&#8211;today is the first day of the local Tulip Festival.<\/p>\n<p>It may be 20 degrees out, but we are still within winter&#8217;s grasp as there are no tulips in bloom yet.  The owner of the fields told me that by next weekend there would be &#8220;some&#8221; colour and hopefully within two weeks the fields will be in full bloom.  However, he added that it might be longer as there is snow in the forecast for next Thursday!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_VOQOwkbSspA\/SAEzA4wfA9I\/AAAAAAAAB0M\/jlHLSY_oMJQ\/s1600-h\/DSCN6992.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_VOQOwkbSspA\/SAEzA4wfA9I\/AAAAAAAAB0M\/jlHLSY_oMJQ\/s400\/DSCN6992.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a> On the way home, I stopped to take pictures of Mt. <span>Cheam<\/span>.  It is a gorgeous mountain that overlooks our small town.  No matter where you are in town, you can get a view of Mt. <span>Cheam<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_VOQOwkbSspA\/SAEzBIwfA-I\/AAAAAAAAB0U\/kme3MkwsSVA\/s1600-h\/DSCN6991.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_VOQOwkbSspA\/SAEzBIwfA-I\/AAAAAAAAB0U\/kme3MkwsSVA\/s400\/DSCN6991.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_VOQOwkbSspA\/SAEzBYwfA_I\/AAAAAAAAB0c\/V3em_rA0Uus\/s1600-h\/DSCN6994.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_VOQOwkbSspA\/SAEzBYwfA_I\/AAAAAAAAB0c\/V3em_rA0Uus\/s400\/DSCN6994.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<div>I managed to find this small plot of daffodils&#8211;the only sign that Spring can&#8217;t be far off!<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After stitching with the FABs this morning, I headed out to the tulip fields&#8211;today is the first day of the local Tulip Festival.
