a pattern from Sunday Morning Quilts (by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cherylarkison.com\/diningroomempire\/\">Cheryl Arkison <\/a>and <a href=\"http:\/\/crazymomquilts.blogspot.ca\/\">Amanda Jean Nyberg<\/a>). \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/silverthimble.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/download.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1910\" src=\"https:\/\/silverthimble.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/download.jpg\" alt=\"download\" width=\"200\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This quilt top met with a mishap when I tried to trim the left side. \u00a0It ended up being narrower than I would like after my attempt at squaring it up. \u00a0After agonizing over ideas to make the quilt wider again, I have given up and made the quilt shorter instead. \u00a0Now it is back in proportion to its width and is still plenty long enough for a lap at 63&#8243; 63 in x 75 in<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I ended up with many chunks of pieced fabric strips as leftovers after finishing Candy Coated so I came up with a second quilt which alternates the pieced strips from Candy Coated with framed four patches. \u00a0This is a &#8220;leftover&#8221; quilt. \u00a0That name doesn&#8217;t seem too glamorous, so it has since been renamed &#8220;Strings and Cobblestones&#8221; by my good friend <a href=\"http:\/\/catsnqlts2.blogspot.ca\/\">LindaJ<\/a>. \u00a0I like this name better than Leftovers, so Strings and Cobblestones it is.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1907\" style=\"width: 246px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/silverthimble.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/2015October12_Strings-and-Cobblestones.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1907\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1907\" src=\"https:\/\/silverthimble.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/2015October12_Strings-and-Cobblestones-236x300.jpg\" alt=\"STRINGS AND COBBLESTONES - 57 in x 73 in\" width=\"236\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/silverthimble.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/2015October12_Strings-and-Cobblestones-236x300.jpg 236w, https:\/\/silverthimble.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/2015October12_Strings-and-Cobblestones.jpg 708w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 236px) 100vw, 236px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1907\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">STRINGS AND COBBLESTONES &#8211;
