{"id":1351,"date":"2015-01-18T14:00:24","date_gmt":"2015-01-18T22:00:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/silverthimble.ca\/blog\/?p=1351"},"modified":"2015-01-29T22:14:56","modified_gmt":"2015-01-30T06:14:56","slug":"gyleens-bricks-cobblestones-and-pebbles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/silverthimble.ca\/blog\/2015\/01\/gyleens-bricks-cobblestones-and-pebbles\/","title":{"rendered":"Guild Sew In &#038; Gyleen&#8217;s Bricks, Cobblestones, and Pebbles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I joined a group on Facebook led by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.colourfulstitches.com\/index.html\">Gyleen Fitzgerald<\/a> called, Gyleen&#8217;s Bricks, Cobblestones, and Pebbles. \u00a0Each Monday, instructions will be posted for the next step of this quilt project. \u00a0it is a bit of a mystery as none of us know what the final quilt will look like.<\/p>\n<p>The objective is to use up all the pre-cut squares and strips we have stored. \u00a0This is intended to be a very scrappy project. \u00a0The project uses 2.5&#8243; strips, 2.5&#8243; squares (gravel), \u00a0and 3.5&#8243; squares (pebbles). \u00a0We have been told that we will also need a 6.5&#8243; EZ angle.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday at the Modern Quilt Guild&#8217;s Sew-In, I finished step one. \u00a0Here it is&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/silverthimble.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Gyleens-Bricks-Cobblestones-and-Pebbles_Step-1-Optimized.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1352\" src=\"https:\/\/silverthimble.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Gyleens-Bricks-Cobblestones-and-Pebbles_Step-1-Optimized-300x290.jpg\" alt=\"Gyleen's Bricks Cobblestones and Pebbles_Step 1-Optimized\" width=\"300\" height=\"290\" srcset=\"https:\/\/silverthimble.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Gyleens-Bricks-Cobblestones-and-Pebbles_Step-1-Optimized-300x290.jpg 300w, https:\/\/silverthimble.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Gyleens-Bricks-Cobblestones-and-Pebbles_Step-1-Optimized-309x300.jpg 309w, https:\/\/silverthimble.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Gyleens-Bricks-Cobblestones-and-Pebbles_Step-1-Optimized.jpg 928w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I may have to make this project a few times to empty the totes of pre-cut squares and strips I have accumulated over the years. \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>This picture was taken by Barbara of me. \u00a0It looks like I am really concentrating on my piecing!
