  1. I am always amazed by those sand scupltures!

BTW I get a lot of those “right in your backyard” photos too. It seems that everyone who visits Washington, DC sees more than I & I live here…
(Then again I keep going to see the things I like – like the zoo & the cherry blossoms…)

  2. Oh my goodness – how absolutely incredible! It would be tremendous to go see this some time. Fred and I honeymooned at Harrison Hot Springs 37 years ago. We’ve talked about going back sometime but so far have never made it.

  3. thanks for sharing the photos. It reminds me of a few years back when we went away on holidays down near the beach and there was a sand sculpture display there. We went along to have a look and were amazed at the detail of the sculptures.

  4. Hi Norma, what great pictures! It truly is amazing what can be done with something as simple as sand. Can you imagine if we applied that same freedom and imagination to our quilts??? Wow!
I loved seeing them..you cover them better than the local news did. I think it got maybe 15 seconds and one photograph. Hugs, Finn

  5. wonderful pictures. I am trying to catch up on the blogs from my absence last week. I had to laugh about your post on your new iron purchase. I thought it was only ME who had to purchase a new iron every 3-4 months. I will definitely investigate this one. Thanks for the link.

  6. Wow, they are amazing pictures. Trying to get my head around the patience needed to create something like that! But then, some people say the same thing about making quilts.:)
