I am happy to report that I have met my goal for January – the Christmas Gratitude quilt is finished–I took the last stitches in the binding this morning. This is item #2 on my UFO list. With a goal of finishing one UFO per month, this year is off to a fine start.
This project busted the red and green fabrics in my Christmas fabric stash right down to the backing. I pieced the backing from 10 1/2″ squares of all the Christmas reds and greens in my stash.
Looks great! And I love the stashbusting back. I’ve done that with several quilts now, and it really makes the fabric stack go down. This will be so nice to use next December.
wonderful accomplishment! The quilt looks great, and its meeting goals too 🙂
Given that there are several more days in January will you create a new UFO or keep working away on your pile?
I love it – esp. the ribbon quilting.
Love the scrappy back. I find I’m doing more and more of that especially with my quilt-as-you-go quilts. The quilting is marvelous!
Congratulations on finishing a UFO, Norma, way to go, and it looks beautiful.
The back is as need as the front.. On to the the next project… What’s up???
Looks great — I love the ‘circles’ that appear in the cornerstones.
Atta girl — looks great, front and back!
Jeanne 🙂
I LOVE it, Norma!! Great job, girlfriend! 😛
Love the front, love the back too! And especially like the little crumb blocks on the front, mixed with the more formal edges and sashing. WTG!
Wonderful…and I love the back!
Looks super – I love that binding
