We have been living within the grip of winter for over 3 weeks now. Usually when it snows here, it lasts for a couple of days, melts, and we return to the rain we are used to. That has not been the case this winter. We have had snow storm after snowstorm with no break in between. This morning, we awoke to the greatest snow accumulation we have experienced this winter. These pictures were taken of our yard last night during the snow storm. By the way, the good looking young man in these pictures is my son. 🙂
I have been reading your blog for about a year and have enjoyed seeing your projects and seeing your home and vacation pictures. I live in Janesville, Wisconsin USA and your snow is just as beautiful and abundant as ours is. We had 105 inches last year. This year we have had 35 inches so far. Keep up the blogging. It is interesting to read about what is happening on your side of the world. I got close to you once. I was in Alberta about 10 years ago visiting friends in Bonnyville.
Your snow pictures look very familiar, although with our -30 temps, ours is probably easier to shovel.
What ever happened to global warming???
I promise to quit singing “Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow”

Can’t believe that Matt could still be smiling after all that shoveling. Is Harold going to have to get up on the roof again to clear it too?
That is a lot of snow!
wasn’t that insane? and i can’t get over the rain today. it’s just nasty out!
eh gads! Someone, quick, turn off your snow-making machine!
Hold on, I’ll be right over with my snow shovel
How are you doing out there Norma? Are you under water or still snowed in? Have you had enough yet???
Happy New Year
Pam
Wow that is a lot of snow! It is pretty to look at though – especially on the tree. You have a handsome son there.
I won’t tell you how much I miss the snow here in south Texas. Really, I do. It is however, FREEZING here tonight. I think my house is 67. We may need to turn on the heat later this week! HA! My family teases me but when it’s 85 one day and 50 the next, ya get cold! I’m serious about missing the snow.
Wow, that’s a lot of snow! I hope you get a break soon, because it sounds like there’s been more, not less. Lucky you have a son to do that shoveling. Almost seems you need a snowplow in your own driveway!
Oh my goodness – that is a LOT of snow! I’ve not read any news – I wonder if Bellingham is getting the same sort of winter? We had snow until a day or two after Christmas but that’s been it. Rumor has it the Farmer’s Almanac says a giant storm is coming at the end of January that will make the storm we had around Christmas look like nothing. I wonder if there is anything to that?
We are having a heat wave and look what you are getting….I think I might stick to our heat…LOL..
