I worked on my Gratitude quilt tonight. This is the progress so far. I am now to the point where I can add borders.
I also added my 12 top UFOs to my sidebar. My Gratitude quilt is one of my goals so I am going to keep going on this one so that I can take it off my list.
Linda J.: I started my January blue work snowman block. I can see where working on those blocks will be addictive! I now understand why you finished January, February, and March already!
Your quilt is looking great and coming along quickly.
what a beautiful bright and cheery Christmas quilt. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it for years to come 🙂
Looks great — each time I see this pattern I love the circle that comes up in the cornerstones. It’s like magic *s*
I seem to have fallen behind in my blog reading – so I needed to catch up. The Gratitude setting for the crumb quilt is a great idea. And the nickle blocks are really neat as well, using up all the Christmas fabric is such a good idea. I don’t collect alot of it – but it is such pretty fabric to just sit in a pile.
Happy New Year
I like your gratitudes with the crumb block centers. I’ve been thinking of doing mine with some old 6″ star blocks I have laying around. It would mean refiguring the sashing, etc but I think it would be cute. I might do a block or two this weekend to see how I like it before I commit to a whole quilt.
I really like your Gratitude Quilt! Great twist to the orginal design.
I am loving how this is turning out, Norma!
And good for you getting started on the snowmen blocks–aren’t they fun? Just sent a pic of a possible setting to you.
I see the list in the sidebar so it looks like we have some goals in writing to aim for.
Norma – that gratitude quilt in those colours looks outstanding – well done you :o)
I like the way you have modified your Gratitude quilt. Very good use of scraps.
I love the way you did the centers of the blocks – and you’ll be ready for Christmas 2007 before the rest of us! It’s really lovely.
i like your gratitude quilt Norma. What a great idea using scraps for the centres.
What a neat setting! I love your Gratitude quilt. I took a peek at the snowmen also and they are going to be fun. I have really spent more time lately doing hand work than machine piecing and have 3 projects in various levels of completion, from just drawn, to ready for borders, to only needing binding. I may haul the sewing machine out tomorrow and finish 2 of them.
I think the crumb blocks look GREAT in that setting… and your nickle blocks look super too! You’ve been doing some wonderful work – I’m impressed!
I love the crumb blocks in the middle! What a great idea! Both of these quilts are super, and almost quilts from nothing!
Your Gratitude quilt is really nice with those crumb blocks – and the Christmasy colors.
