Quilt Guild Paint Chip Summer Challenge – Quilting Complete

Last night I put the borders on my “paint chip challenge project”. I spent today quilting the piece and adding the buttons. I saw Dot’s challenge project and she made her block into a pillow. I thought that was a fabulous idea and so I think I will borrow it and make my top into a pillow.

I changed the outside border from what I planned on using originally. This piece was also in the fat quarter bundle. The houses on this piece are smaller and I think better suited to this size of a project.

  1. Oh, I love that border print. And the red buttons are just the right touch. Do you get to keep this challenge?
Joey is a sweet looking cat. He must be happy to be in a quilter’s home!

  2. What beautiful eyes he has! I get so used to seeing blue Siamese eyes, that cats with gold or green eyes look especially lovely.

And your paint chip project turned out great too!

  3. good that you can change your mind and do what leads you—doesn’t have to a be a wall hanging of some predetermined size.

I think that is why I am having some problems with the round robin—the danged rules!
