Here it is! The Simple Cross is now a completed top, ready for quilting. This is a monster at 102″ square. You can see the hands of my two helpers at the top of the quilt. This one is so large it was hard to get a picture of it–even with help.

My iron died last night in the middle of piecing. Without a functioning iron, quilting comes to a halt. It doesn’t matter how fancy your sewing machine is, without an iron, it is impossible to quilt! An iron that doesn’t work will actually stop a quilter in her tracks!
